Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru are the Socialist-Republican Communist Party of Wales, fighting for a working class Welsh Republic. We are inspired by the history of our class in Wales, the democratic struggles of the people, and the international movement for socialism and peace.

Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru has fraternal links with the Welsh Underground Network, a mass organisation of Socialist Republicans in Wales.
Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru was formed during the 2023 Annual Congress of the WUN, following years of political development and growth.
The Welsh Underground Network is committed to reviving community spaces, and giving them back to the working class communities. From direct action to acts of solidarity with oppressed people, they fight for a better future.
Together, we fight for a Socialist Republic of Wales.

Y Seren Goch (The Red Star) is the Socialist-Republican paper set up by Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru & the Welsh Underground Network in 2024.
Y Seren Goch provides analysis of the dire state of Welsh and British politics, of the neoliberal decay present around us, and the fight for minoritised languages.
Anyone can write for them, you don’t need to be Marxist-Leninist, a Socialist-Republican, they are committed to printing a pluralistic view of Welsh politics. The aim is to take the debates out of the messenger apps, off social media, and into a public space
